History

The history of the company KOMEL goes back to the year 1990 where it was founded with the objective to produce switchboards. In its beginning years the company focused on building a good name and acquiring business partners in the region. After the first year of manufacturing activities in a garage the company rented small business premises and hired its first employee.

The subsequent years witnessed quite dynamic developments. Introduction of modern technologies, concentration on high quality, flexible production and the company’s reliability significantly contributed to the spread of the company’s activities across the Czech Republic and later also abroad.

The company’s continuing prosperity enabled fulfillment of bigger and bigger orders and led to the extension of business activities and to the greater number of employees.


The Present

At present the company KOMEL concentrates mainly on the production of low voltage switchboards. Its specific production expertise provides the highest quality at corresponding prices. The company’s production follows a quality control management system in accordance with the guidelines ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004.

The consistently excellent quality of production attracted a wide number of significant business partners and made the company one of the leading Czech manufacturers of low voltage. The company supplies its switchboards to the customers within the Czech Republic and other EU states.


The Future

The company KOMEL will continue to specialize in switchboard manufacturing. It will pursue the ultimate quality of production and continually improve cooperation with its business partners, thus advancing its competitiveness on the market.

In the near future the company plans to extend its activities beyond EU borders and go global.
